Ongoing Development of Umpires is Vital
Representative Umpire (formerly Level 2) Accreditation
All members appointed to umpire matches in NSW Premier Cricket First and Second Grades, and in Country Cricket NSW Carnivals, are required to have completed the Cricket Australia Representative Officiating Online Component.
If you have any questions please direct your inquiry to Nic Bills in the NSWCUSA office on 0427 947 000.

Annual Convention
All existing umpires are strongly encouraged to attend the NSWCUSA annual convention and training weekend. The 2017 convention will be held at Bankstown Sports Club on 19, 20 August.
Workshop
During each off-season, the plan is to hold a one day Professional Development workshop for existing umpires, and a Laws of Cricket course for "new" umpires. Do you have areas you would like addressed? Please email your suggestions to wzoneumps@gmail.com.
Local Seminars
These would be run by the Zone Umpire Rep, usually for an hour or so, in an evening with local umpire groups – what would you like training on and when – do you have regular umpire meetings?
Umpire Observation
If you would like feedback on your field-craft, please email wzoneumps@gmail.com and we can try to arrange for an observer to come and watch a match – generally easiest on a Sunday.
Feedback From Cricket Associations
All those in an official capacity with teams have been asked to provide feedback. This can be through captains’ reports, a local umpires’ group, through your council or directly to the Western Zone Umpire Representative. Any feedback regarding individual umpires will be passed on to those who are interested in improving as umpires. It is an opportunity for us, as umpires, to reflect on what we do and improve.
